Frequently Asked Questinons
Why should I choose Activ Pest Solutions over a national company?
There are many reasons. We are a local company that prides itself on our fast response time, customer service and commitment to quality. We seek to establish long term relationships with our customers and many have been with us for a decade or more. Unlike many other companies, we do not have a high employee turnover. The technician that you meet today may very well be providing you with quality service 5 or 10 years from now.
I have children and pets, is it ok to have my home treated?
All of us at Activ Pest Solutions have either pets or children. We will work with you to ensure that any applications provided will be done in such a way as to protect your loved ones. We pride ourselves on addressing problems with an environmentally sound approach that targets specific problems while being minimally intrusive. In some cases we can even resolve issues without the need for treatment.
Is a warranty provided after a termite treatment?
Yes. Upon completion of your termite treatment we will provide you with a full warranty against re-infestation. All of our warranted homes are re-inspected annually to ensure that no new activity is present. In the event that you sell your home, your warranty is transferable to the new homeowner.
Why do you need to inspect our home before giving us a price for treatment?
There are many variables involved with treating different structures. From the size of the structure, the degree and type of infestation, and what approach will work best for you. Usually, by the time a customer calls us, they have exhausted all of their options for home remedies and are seeking professional help to resolve an issue that may be quite extensive. During inspection we will evaluate the situation and provide you with the best approach to resolve your issues.
My house is clean, why do I have so many ants? And why are they so difficult to eliminate?
Ants are one of the most challenging insects for both us and homeowners. They are not attracted to filth like roaches, more often sweet substances and moisture. The simple fact that an ant colony can number in the tens of thousands means effectively eliminating them can take time. Many homes have multiple colonies throughout. When ant problems are not resolved quickly, there is often a secondary reason for this such as infestations within wall, floor or ceiling voids. Very often these colonies are located in areas of moisture or leaks that may be unknown to the homeowner prior to our inspection. Please check out our Ant page and videos for more information.
